2.1 CALL TO ORDER 2.2 FLAG SALUTE 2.3 LAND ACKNOWLEDGMENT Tacoma Public Schools acknowledges that we are on the traditional ancestral and historical lands of the Puyallup Tribe of Indians. We honor with gratitude the land itself and the Puyallup Tribe. This acknowledgment serves as a first step in honoring our nearest tribal neighbors and partners who have inhabited this region since time immemorial, and to whom we give thanks for allowing us passage to their lands. 8.1 FIRST READING OF NEW POLICY 3412 - ACCOMMODATING STUDENTS WITH ADRENAL SUFFICIENCY The General Counsel, on behalf of the Director of Health Services, recommends that the Board of Directors review the draft proposal of new Policy 3412 and provide feedback before a second reading. Item Title FIRST READING OF NEW POLICY 3412 – ACCOMMODATING STUDENTS WITH ADRENAL SUFFICIENCY Background In 2025, the Legislature passed Substitute House Bill 1709 relating to the care of students with Adrenal Insufficiency. Codified as RCW 28A.210.358, the new language requires the District to adopt a policy documenting the provision of care and use of parent designated adults for students with Adrenal Insufficiency. Current Consideration The District presently serves more than a dozen students diagnosed with Adrenal Insufficiency. Similar to other endocrine disorders, the rates of students diagnosed with Adrenal Insufficiency are increasing post Covid. 11.1 11.2 APPROVAL OF AMENDMENT #3 TO CONTRACT TSD-23-102 BETWEEN MEDOSWEET FARMS AND TACOMA SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 10 The Chief Financial Officer recommends that the Board of Directors approve Amendment #3 to Contract TSD-23-102 with Medosweet Farms for the providing of dairy and juice products for District students for the 2025-2026 school year, in the amount of $300,000, increasing the total contract value to $5,747,574.16. [Funding Source: Nutrition Services] APPROVAL OF AMEND. #3, CONTRACT NO. TSD-23-102 WITH MEDOSWEET FARMS APPROVAL OF THE GUARANTEED MAXIMUM PRICE (GMP) AMENDMENT #3 TO CONTRACT NO. TSD-25-226 BETWEEN KORSMO CONSTRUCTION AND TACOMA SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 10: AUGUST 5, 2025-DECEMBER 31, 2029 The Chief Operating Officer recommends that the Board of Directors approve GMP Amendment #3 to Contract No. TSD-25-226 between Korsmo Construction and Tacoma School District No. 10 for the TPS Synthetic Fields, Track, and Tennis Court Upgrades Bundle 2 Project in the amount of $26,614,478, excluding sales tax. TSD-25-062 BETWEEN TACOMA SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 10 AND CORNERSTONE GENERAL CONTRACTORS: JUNE 1, 2026 – MARCH 31, 2028 The Chief Operating Officer recommends that the Board of Directors approve the Guaranteed Maximum Price GMP Amendment #1 between Cornerstone General Contractors Inc. and Tacoma School District No.10 for the Whittier Elementary School Replacement Project in the amount of $39,345,585.00 excluding sales tax. TSD-25-062 WITH CORNERSTONE GENERAL CONTRACTORS 11.4 APPROVAL OF INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT TSD-26-038 BETWEEN THE CITY OF FIRCREST AND TACOMA SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 10 FOR THE WHITTIER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL WHITTIER PARK USE AND RESTORATION THROUGH JANUARY 1, 2028 The Chief Operating Officer recommends that the Board of Directors approve Interlocal Agreement TSD-26-038 between the City of Fircrest and Tacoma School District No. 10 for the Whittier Elementary School Whittier Park Use and Restoration through January 1, 2028. APPROVAL OF INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT TSD-26-038 WITH CITY OF FIRCREST FOR 11.5 WHITTIER E.S. AND WHITTIER PARK USE/RESTOR. APPROVAL TO INCREASE PURCHASE OF PLAYGROUD EQUIPMENT AT LARCHMONT ELEMENTARY AND MANN ELEMENTARY The Chief Operating Officer recommends that the Board of Directors authorize the Superintendent and/or designee to expend from $4,060,000 to $4,300.000 for 2 additional playground sites: Larchmont Elementary and Mann Elementary.
